Kendrick Place is a mixed-use, five-story building offering 36 apartments in a range of sizes. It is located between the University of Massachusetts-Amherst campus and Amherst’s business district. The historic architectural qualities of Amherst’s downtown played an important role in shaping the design of this building and is reflected in its thick masonry walls, punched openings, and wood-clad corners. Its site is triangular, and the building takes full advantage of the unusual geometry. At its three corners, floor-to-ceiling windows create light and airy interior spaces, and a lantern-like exterior glow once the sun goes down.

Holst Architecture was the Design Architect and DiMella Shaffer was the Architect of Record. Alan Jones was the Project Manager for Holst Architecture.
