Meaghan Bullard, AIA, WELL AP
Principal
mbullard@jonesarc.com
Meaghan is our managing principal and oversees our day-to-day operations and business development efforts. Clients and colleagues alike value Meaghan for her communication skills, organizational acumen, and ability to deliver astute design criticism. Her thoughtful approach to clients and empathy for our buildings’ end users have been influential on projects that include historic renovations, new construction multifamily developments, commercial developments, and single-family homes. She has a keen sense of placemaking, from weaving a building’s exterior design into its context to constructing interior palettes and materials that fit a project’s objectives. Graced with both optimism and a knack for tracking multiple, complex situations, she is a natural problem solver.
Meaghan came to Portland by way of Brooklyn, New York. Prior to joining Jones Architecture, she was an Associate Architect at Murphy Burnham & Buttrick where she worked on residential, educational and institutional projects.
Before her work at Murphy Burnham & Buttrick, she was an assistant to the award-winning artist Jenny Holzer, for whom she facilitated the installation of large and small-scale artworks all over the world. Meaghan also spent time with New York City’s Department of Design and Construction where she coordinated projects under the City’s Design Excellence Program.
Meaghan received her undergraduate degree in Architecture from Washington University and her Master of Architecture from Yale. She is licensed to practice in Oregon, New York, and California. When away from the office, Meaghan enjoys exploring the misty landscapes of the Pacific Northwest with her family.
