The Portland Design Commission awarded the 2020 Design Excellence Award to Jones Architecture and Waechter Architecture for the Northbound 30 Collaborative project. Alan Jones accepted the award on behalf of the design team at a Portland City Council Session on Thursday April 29. The award is given annually by the Portland Design Commission to a project that demonstrates excellence in design.

Northbound 30 Collaborative is a residential project made up of eight multi-family mass timber buildings, four of which are designed by Waechter Architecture and four by Jones Architecture. Jones Architecture and Waechter Architecture collaborated on the overall site plan.

It was an honor to receive this award, and we thank the Portland Design Commission for recognizing Northbound 30 Collaborative.
